Philosophy of Care
Our goals as your dentists are:
- To keep you healthy and pain free.
- To be gentle…..help people with the anxiety of dental work.
- To Cater to Cowards! Nitrous oxide and oral sedatives are available.
- You should know how much we care before you care how much we know.
- Be clinically competent, skilled, and knowledgable.
- Exceed the 30 hours/year state requirement with over 100 hours of dental Continuing Education annually.
- To earn your trust for a generation, not for a one time encounter
Dr. Ray Rhoades
Dr. Ray was raised on a farm and uses the phrase “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” as a rule of thumb when it comes to your treatment. He is currently seeing the children and grandchildren of many of his early patients and feels that one of the great joys of this profession is developing long-term relationships with his patient families. "If you are new to Olathe I hope you see that Olathe still has a little small town in it, we sometimes just have to look harder to find it." Dr. Ray attended Kansas State University and then was off to UMKC for dental school, graduating in 1977. He is an avid pilot, fisherman, duck hunter, and outdoorsman. He is a member of the Flying Dentists Association, the American Dental Association, the Kansas Dental Association, Olathe Noon Rotary Club, Kansas City Dental Implant Society, and the 5th District Dental Society.
DR. RAY IS AVAILABLE Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday monrings.
Dr. Amy Hahn
Amy was born and raised in West Olathe on a small farm also. She chose to follow in her father's and grandfather's footsteps to continue the standard of care they have begun in dentistry. She attended Saint Thomas Aquinas High School, and then went on to KU to study Biology. After being accepted into the School of Dentistry at University of Missouri-Kansas City, she spent four years tolerating hostility toward her devout Jayhawk loyalties, and graduated in 2006. Dr. Amy’s interests outside taking care of patients include: spending time with her two children, Hadley and Henry, KU basketball, volunteering, flying, anything outdoors, reading, tech geekishness and gadgetry, and having lots of fun! Amy is also a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Kansas Dental Associations, the Flying Dentists Association, American Academy of Women Dentists, American Association of Pediatric Dentistry, and American Society of Dentistry for Children.
DR. AMY IS AVAILABLE on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday afternoons and Friday mornings.

Shelby landed in our office by way of the grapevine - her cousin is a dear friend of Dr. Hahn's, who asked Dr. Hahn to please help Shelby find a position as a hygienist somewhere in Kansas City, as she was moving here after graduating from hygiene school in Iowa. Dr. Hahn wanted to meet Shelby first before recommending her to others, and once she met her didn't want to let her get away! She is a wonderfully kind person and a stellar hygienist!
